1. BACKGROUND
The client is a joint venture created in the summer of 2020 by a large automotive group. Their ambition is to produce batteries at the highest technological level while making electric mobility accessible to as many people as possible.
The company operates in a highly technological environment: the battery industry for electric vehicles. The company must be agile, particularly in the fields of R&D, industrialization, mechanical design, testing/prototyping, etc. Shareholders raised a total of €7 billion in investments.
The objective is to establish a lasting foothold around the world, by securing a global network of R&D associates, industrial partners and suppliers.
As part of its growth strategy, it is opening a new dedicated entity called: New Strategies and Development and includes:
- Current operations
- The development strategy
- Competitiveness programmes
It is in this context that the client is looking to strengthen the management team on the CSR side with a CSR director.
2. DISPOSITION
In a context of growth and strengthening, the Deputy CEO is looking for a chief CSR officer.
The interim manager presented by WAYDEN, is a CSR director with financial and environmental experience. She has worked at Suez on sustainable development and decarbonization missions, as well as at L’Oréal on strengthening the CSR strategy.
3. MISSION
The interim manager, in this strategic position of the organization and in this strategic context, will have the mission to:
- Define the CSR strategy
- Manage the execution of this strategy in project mode
The strategy should be defined according to the following topics:
- Environmental: Decarbonization strategy, carbon footprint (energy-intensive activity) in support of the HSE Director on regulatory aspects
- Work is underway and needs to be deepened (5 people to manage)
- Societal: employer of choice, employer branding as well as product
- Non-financial reporting, reporting to investors, shareholders, stakeholders
- Ethical supply chain (in the medium term)
