1. BACKGROUND
The client is a French group specialising in fashion trade in city centres. The group’s turnover amounts to nearly 4 billion euros across all its 250 points of sale and its e-commerce site.
This interim management mission is a replacement for the current Logistics Director, of one of the Group’s two logistics warehouses, who will take on other functions within the Group. This warehouse delivers to nearly a hundred stores and has a small e-commerce activity. The site team can reach 250 people at peak activity.
2. DISPOSITION
Thanks to a solid network of managers from the WAYDEN pool, Alexandra GARNIER, Associate Director, organizes a meeting with the customer by videoconference, in order to introduce Jérôme Blanc, recently available, whose career as Logistics Director is in good line with the technical and human skills sought.
Jérôme Blanc has more than 20 years’ experience, particularly in the roles of Retail and e-commerce logistics site manager. He is experienced in the fashion sector, experienced in social dialogue and has managed operational teams of more than 250 people. He has also led transformation and turnaround projects with the start-up of factories and logistics warehouses, mergers and acquisitions, change management, and relocation and outsourcing projects.
3. MISSION
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, Jérôme Blanc’s overall role will be:
- to manage and lead the logistics teams on operational issues
- support the various projects on the site, in particular business transfer projects
4. ASSESSMENT
As part of this mission, Alexandra GARNIER agreed on a monthly follow-up with Jérôme Blanc and the client. This mode of operation has made it possible to establish agile and effective communication between all parties. The result is a great success in meeting the objectives of this mission, the criticality of which was largely based on maintaining a good social dialogue within the establishment in a context of business transfer projects.
