“Being passionate” is a term that is sometimes difficult to assume in the business world. Being passionate about your work is an opportunity. Often, this passion will be found in business creation projects, start-up projects and other freelancers where the individual will seek above all to satisfy a particular desire for activity. Managing this craze for his work is tricky. Indeed, a poor application of it can turn passion into a nightmare without much being able to be done about it. The reflection will be “Do you have to be passionate to succeed in a company?”
At the time of job interviews, the fact of having a particular attraction for the sector to which you are applying, insofar as it is mastered, can work in the candidate’s favor by giving priority to that of the diplomas and other certifications obtained. It goes without saying that when we use the term passion, it reflects the human character, the person and his desires. It is therefore from this human aspect that passion can be transcribed but also shared. We will therefore find, through this sharing, convictions, desire, a common thread etc. All these factors can influence life in the company, colleagues in the environment and with the ultimate goal of improving living conditions in the organization in question.
In everyday tasks, passion acts as a weapon of differentiation. Indeed, a passionate person, whatever the difficulty faced, will overcome it. Through this attraction to his job, there is a real strength of motivation as well as support for the various supports of the company. These people are therefore involved and motivated more than by the return of profit and are able, on their own, to support one or more departments within an organization.
It is understandable that passion, to different degrees, will not translate in the same way for someone working in interim management as for someone working in art, for example. What is therefore important to remember is the impact that this craze has on the work of the person concerned and what it brings to those around him as well as to the company itself.
These contributions will result in motivation, happiness, creativity and perseverance, essential criteria for any good business development. Be careful, however, to take care of passionate people in the company because a turnaround can quickly happen and depression can set in if the craze is not sufficiently fueled.
