1. BACKGROUND
The customer is a purchasing/logistics platform integrated within a specialized distribution chain. This platform supplies goods in large volumes, and redistributes them in small volumes to several hundred stores.
Faced with a deteriorating social climate (health and safety issues, fragile social relations, middle management that lacks solidity), the company decided to call on an interim manager in operational logistics support.
2. DISPOSITION
The interim manager will have to assume the role of “Operational Logistics Support”, by managing a team of 100 people divided into 2 teams that operate in 2×8 over 5 days:
- Organize and supervise the logistics activity with a permanent concern for optimization
- Manage the activity in such a way as to guarantee the performance objective while controlling costs
- Guaranteeing the best QHSE practices implemented in the company
- Organize versatility to ensure business continuity in the event of a team member’s absence
The objective of the mission will be to restore the overall performance of the logistics site.
